ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Arts for Learning (A4L)’s ArtWorks program is a six-week paid internship in the arts. Interns will work alongside a Master Teaching Artist (MTA) in an artistic co-op of their choice to create works of art, while learning key workforce development skills.

COMPENSATION

Interns will be paid $14.00/hour. Interns will receive payment for up to 180 hours of work during the six-week program. Interns will also participate in college advisement and goal setting workshops.

ELIGIBILITY & QUALIFICATIONS

For current 9th – 12th graders only
Must be at least 14 years old
Must be a Florida resident and meet I9 work eligibility requirements, non-residents may receive community service hours

Prior arts experience is not necessary, but applicants should have a strong interest in the arts and a willingness to learn in a diverse setting.

*Final program dates are subject to change.

Note: There is no work scheduled on June 19th and July 3rd in observance of Juneteenth and Independence Day.
