Arts Access Youth Music Festivals in Miami Gardens and South Dade were a chance to celebrate another incredible year of bringing arts education to students across Miami! A4L is proud to be part of the Arts Access network and happy to connect with members of the community as part of the resource fair – where children and families can learn more about A4L, and make art together! In Miami Gardens, families created translucent and opaque paper models resembling stained-glass windows with Teaching Artist Santiague Deprez; and in South Dade, Teaching Artist Angel Howsky led a mask decorating moment, activating motor skills and color connections for all ages.
We are especially proud of A4L Afterschool students at Laura C. Saunders Elementary’s first-ever public performance at the South Dade Youth Music Festival! Under the guidance of Teaching Artist Erika Loyola, students shined on stage in front of friends, family and neighbors in South Dade. The A4L Afterschool Program at Laura C. Saunders Elementary School is generously supported by Arts Access Miami and The Children’s Trust.
