Summertime is sublime at A4L! Here are some highlights from June.

This month, we’ve launched visual and performing arts programs at 44 sites – twice as many as Summer 2023! This is all made possible with the dedication of our staff, Teaching Artists, and these all-around excellent partners this summer: All Kids Included Miami, The ARC of South FloridaCity of HialeahCity of Miami, Coconut Grove Cares BarnyardDr. Carlos J. Finlay Elementary SchoolFIU After-School All-StarsHope for Miami; and The MDC Koubek Center, home of our ArtWorks Internship Program!

Lewis Arts Studio Elementary

Lewis Arts Studio Elementary (4th & 5th) students worked with Teaching Artists Angela Bolaños and José Luis Garcia to develop their artistic understanding of basic elements and principles of art and design through creative play and exploration of materials. Both classes developed narrative and creative expression through exploring book arts, self- portraiture, sculpting, and textiles.

Congratulations to these shining stars! We can’t wait to see you back in the studio on Saturdays this fall!
