On Monday, April 27th, with the help of O, Miami, K-3rd grade students of Arts for Learning (A4L)’s after school arts program at The Barnyard (a program of Coconut Grove Cares) celebrated National Poetry Month!
A4L Master Teaching Artist Neil de la Flor and A4L ArtWorks Interns led an exquisite corpse poetry workshop, wherein students wrote collective poems in small groups. In addition to a chance to share their poems and drawings with classmates, each student also received a notebook to collect future poems, which included a poem written by an ArtWorks intern.
