In collaboration with Silent Victims of Crime, A4L presented a special workshop turned jam session with A4L Teaching Artist, Michael Gil Arango. Hosted by The Motivational Edge, children and families learned about a series of aboriginal instruments and then got to make music together!
Silent Victims of Crime is a nonprofit organization that works to empower children of incarcerated parents in Florida, and The Motivational Edge is a nonprofit organization that utilizes culturally relevant arts as a motivational platform to inspire youth towards academic achievement, increased self-confidence and the building of essential life skills.
