Our Impact

As a result of A4L programming, children have the opportunity to grow up with the arts in different venues and times in their lives. At the core of A4L’s programming is the engagement of children in the creative art making process, be it via dance, music, theatre, creative writing, design, animation, or visual art. A4L strives to meet children where they are at, partnering with the community to reach children in schools, preschools, and afterschool programs.

A4L’s programs create the habits of mind needed for success in school and life.

Through deep engagement in the arts and the creative process, children develop essential skills including creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and communication skills, as well as social emotional skills.

We work to:

Improve developmental outcomes for children and youth through the arts at all stages and ages so they can thrive
Remove any barriers that prevent children from having access to hands-on arts learning
Build a foundation where all children in the community can grow up with the arts
Democratize the arts so that every student can feel that the arts are for them
